Since then, several versions of the Admiral’s Cup have been introduced. Some models, however, are marked elsewhere when the face is mainly decorative. Bannwart’s son Jean-Rene joined the firm in the 1960s. The company was started in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and is still doing business there today. Corum was founded in 1955 by Rene Bannwart, who had previously worked for Patek Philippe and Omega, in partnership with his uncle Gaston Ries.
